“How can we make the hidden retail stores more visible
and help them draw more customers?”

To help small business owners who have stores and restaurants that are located above the ground floor, underground, or in the nooks and crannies where often have a hard time getting exposure, I created the idea of a mobile app “LookUp.”

The AR technology implemented in the app allows pedestrians to see what’s in a building by simply moving around their phone cameras.

I interviewed store owners in San Francisco to find their unmet needs, reviewed the city’s zoning regulations and iterated the idea over 3 months of research. I also developed a go-to-market plan by considering the app’s target audience, branding, channel strategy, initial market methods, testing plan and revenue models.
